Annapolis Royal - 1 hr and 20 minutes away

Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia is a beautiful waterfront community nestled in the Annapolis Valley. Originally inhabited by a strong Mi’kmaq community, in 1605 the area became home to some of North America’s earliest European settlers. The Annapolis Royal area has gained a reputation as a vibrant centre for cultural activity, and over the years it has become a magnet for visual artists, craftspeople, performers and writers.


Burntcoat Head Park - 1 hr 35 mins away

Come and walk, play and explore on the ocean floor! Burntcoat Head Park is home of the world`s highest recorded tides. Discover small species of ocean life in pools of ocean water left behind when the tides are out and walk for miles on the ocean floor. On site is a beautiful lighthouse and 3-acre park. You will also find, walking trails and a scenic view of the Cobequid Bay offering spectacular sunset displays in the evening. The replica lighthouse contains an interpretive centre about the Fundy tides, old lighthouses, and the history of the area.


Digby - 1 hr and 30 minutes away

Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures - 1hr 35mins away

Lunenburg located on the South Shore - 1 hr 30 mins away

Old Town Lunenburg is one of only two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Seventy percent of the original colonial buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries continue to greet visitors with their colourful façades. Wander Old Town Lunenburg’s distinctive waterfront with its colourful buildings and listen for salty tales of seafaring and rum-running and discover a charming town filled with amazing restaurants, distilleries, breweries, artisans and unique shops.


Mahone Bay - 1 hr and 15 minutes away

Mahone Bay is a tranquil destination with spectacular views of our scenic harbour, where sailboats gently bob and the sun sparkles like diamonds on the deep blue waters. As you walk through town, you’ll see vibrantly painted Victorian homes and shops, colourful heritage gardens, and our world-famous three churches, which sit at the water’s edge and form the iconic backdrop for one of Canada’s most picturesque towns.


Peggy's Cove located on the South Shore - 2 hrs away

Nova Scotia is home to over 160 historic lighthouses, but no beacon is as photographed as the one in the vibrant fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Built in 1915, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse still keeps watch over surging ocean waves and working lobster boats. Amble over giant rocks worn smooth by the sea and share in the view.

On the way back, stop at Avondale Sky Winery for a unique wine experience in their retail shop, a restored 180-year-old former church that was transported 40 kilometres over the highest tides in the world.
